Privacy Policy
Kadaxis is an independent metadata intelligence firm. This page describes what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and your rights in relation to that information. We have written it in plain language because privacy notices are otherwise unreadable.
What we collect
When you use the contact form, we collect the name, role, publisher or imprint, email address, and message you provide. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry. Contact form submissions are not added to any marketing list.
When you subscribe to Notes from the Field, we collect your email address. We use it solely to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the foot of every newsletter email; we remove your address from the list when you do.
When you visit any page, our hosting and security systems may record basic request information such as the page requested, request time, browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, and technical information needed to keep the site available and secure. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party tracking pixels.
Who has access
Information you submit through the contact form is received by Kadaxis staff and held in our email and correspondence systems. Newsletter subscriptions are processed by MailerLite, who acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use your data for any other purpose.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages are retained while we are corresponding with you, plus a reasonable archive period for our records.
Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe, at which point we remove your address from the list within a reasonable time.
Hosting and security logs are retained for operational, security, and abuse-prevention purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form and we will respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA including the right to know what personal information has been collected about you, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Cookies
This site uses only the minimal cookies required for basic site functionality. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party tracking pixels.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to anyone we have an active relationship with at the time, including current correspondents and active newsletter subscribers.
